Learning the first profession is very easy, it costs only 10 copper. However, gaining entry into the auction house market is a little harder. Not only are there no glyphs until skill level 75, the lack of funds also makes it a serious challenge to create auctions due to the deposit costs.
But I finally was able to produce my first glyph and sell it for a nice profit on the auction house. With that kind of money, deposit costs are a non-issue.
